Scottish Food & Drink Fortnight

Scottish Food & Drink Fortnight started in 2003 and is the annual celebration of the local food and drink of Scotland, held on 31st August to 15th September this year.

Celebrating famous Scottish dishes such as haggis, cullen skink (a thick soup made with smoked haddock, potatoes and onions), bridie (a minced beef pastry), tablet (a confection made from sugar, condensed milk, and butter), Dundee cake and of course shortbread.

Not forgetting the famous Scottish Whisky of which there are over 2,500 brands and Scotlands Irn Bru, known in Scotland as Ginger.
