New Years Day
Traditionally a day for a family walk or get together, more and more people are eating out on New Year’s Day, as they often can’t face cooking! The best way to capitalise is to produce a New Year’s Day menu at the same time as your Christmas menu, and advertise and book it early. A perfect way to use up left over Christmas stock and decorations, and promote what is coming up in the upcoming months with bounce back offers and hand outs. This can take the form of an informal brunch, a hearty reviving lunch or a quiet supper – or all three! If you are taking advantage of late opening hours, a breakfast of something like “fancy” (sourdough bread, maple bacon) sandwiches can be handed to guests as they leave, for the walk or taxi home, or to be put into the fridge in preparation for the morning (or afternoon) after!
